Who We Are

‘H. Malone Plumbing and Heating’ was established in 1926 by Henry Malone who left his job at the Tyne shipyards to set up his own business from his home in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Over the years Henry gained an excellent reputation across the region for his high-quality workmanship and professionalism. As well as working for private clients, he began contracting for local authorities and businesses, and his increased workload gave him the opportunity to employ his four sons who continued to develop and grow the business.   

H. Malone & Sons Ltd is now a fifth generation family owned and family run business. Throughout the many challenges we have faced over the last 100 years, we have maintained our focus on our local community and strive to offer sustainable employment opportunities across the region.

Our recent acquisition of McNally & Thompson Electrical Contractors has strengthened our ability to deliver a combined mechanical & electrical package for our clients. We are two North East companies who share common values and will continue to provide a first class service to our clients.

With a combined mechanical & electrical turnover of over £30 Million and over 180 directly employed site operatives, technical, management and administrative staff, H. Malone & Sons Ltd is firmly established as a leading mechanical & electrical services contractor throughout the North East of England and beyond.
